Green Restaurants Initiative. Concept and design. Seamus Ford (proprietor of LowCarbonHome) and I were discussing green restaurant initiatives around the country. I pointed out the power of year after year of chamber of commerce and Yelp! decals on restaurant windows, as well as the collection motive in humans. While chambers of commerce are moribund, I proposed a more modern system of recognition and reward to restaurant owners who modify their consumption patterns in incremental ways. We developed a window decal system and passport concept. (The design was mine, including all icons. Each piece was to be a separate slip decal that would be sent to the restaurant owner when they achieved that element of improvement.)
